I am going to introduce one of our students! Her name is Hitomi, and she’s from Japan.

When Hitomi graduated college in Japan, she went to the Philippines to study English.

But she wanted to speak English more naturally,

so Hitomi decided it would be best to come to Canada. Hitomi is

a great success! She is studying Hospitality Management now, and she is also working as a

banquet server at a hotel here in Vancouver.

Tipping in Canada is much the same as it is in the U.S.

In most cases a tip ranges from between 15% and 20%.

Here is a guides on how to tip;

• Cabs/Taxis: Anywhere between 10% ­ 20% of the fare.

• Restaurant Tipping a Waiter: 15% ­ 20% of the before tax total is typical

• Salon : a tip of 15% ­ 20% for hair stylists, beauticians, and masseurs is typical on top of the before­tax total.

Here are some numbers to follow, 10% = $1 for every $10, 15% = $1.50 for every $10

and 20% = $2 for every $10.

20% for excellent service,

15% for solid service

10% for bad service

On average people in Vancouver tip about 18%.

〜外見を磨いて、クリスマスには彼氏ゲットの巻〜

３年目の独り身クリスマスを阻止するべく

ビュティー週間始めました！！

ビュティー週間というのはざっくりいうと外見に磨きをかける

ことをさします。

独り身、中村が向かった先はhudson’s bay

パーティーが主催されてるとのことを聞きつけ

さっそくお邪魔してきました。定期的にやってるみたいで

ワイン飲みながらコスメを物色するというもの！

まずは〜資生堂〜

日本でもおなじみコスメ、カナダでも人気です。

資生堂のお姉さんがしているリップがとても素敵だったので

それと同じものを試しました。

これで私もキレイになれる。。。！ドキドキ。。。

セクシーになるかと思いきや

七五三の子供みたいになってしまいました。

理想と現実はほど遠いですネ。

どうしてもセクシー色を試したかったので

日本人に馴染むこの色をお勧めしていただきました。

赤リップが似合わない人でもこの色ならイケる！！

深みのあるレッドで、秋コスメ一押しだそうです。（品番RD５５５）

発色もよしご飯食べた後でも色落ちしないのがいい！

次回はツルツルお肌を手に入れるの巻です。

アットホーム、先生と生徒の距離も近く

なるべく少人数で集中して勉強したい生徒向けの学校の印象が

ありました。

先生方とお話をする機会があったのですが、

５年と長年勤めている先生が多く、生徒のリピーター率が

高いことに驚きでした。

Last time I introduced Luciana from Brazil, and now let me introduce some other members of

our Kim Okran family. This time I will introduce our Chinese marketer,

his name is Allan and he is from he can speaks Japanese surprisingly,

very well. Actually, he is trilingual, he can speak 3 languages; Chinese, English and Japanese!

He loves animals, especially cats. According to Allan, he has more than 20 cats back in China!

Allen is a warm and outgoing person, so let`s welcome him to our Kim Okran Family!

前回はサンバ大国からやってきたルシアナちゃんをご紹介しましたね；）

今回はキムオクランのニューメンバー

中国からやってきたアラン君！を紹介します。

写真からもわかるように、温厚で心の優しい人柄がにじみでているアラン君。

ピース位置もなんともいえない絶妙なカンジでいいですネ。

なんと彼、日本語がペラペラなんです。幼少時から日本に住んでいたそうで、

日本人スタッフも驚かすほどの日本語力です！

中国語、英語に、日本語を操るトリリンボーイなのです。

あと動物好きで特にネコが好きだそうです。

中国の実家には20匹ものネコがいるとか。。。

（捨てられているネコがいたら保護しているんですって。なんて心優しいかたなのでしょう。）

まるで、あのユル系携帯アプリ「ねこあつめ」のようにネコを集めているのです；）
